Product Manager - E-Commerce

San Francisco

It's possibly the single most in-demand skill in the tech industry: the ability to turn data into dollars. It sounds like alchemy, but it's exactly what you do. And it's exactly what we need.

At Anki, We glean oceans of valuable info from our web presences and current trends, and we need someone on the line to dive in. Someone who innately understands our marketing initiatives and goals and knows the right questions to ask the right people. If you can take in our marketing initiatives and goals, and offer analysis and insights that help us meet them, we'll listen. You'll effect lasting change in our e-commerce strategy in general and our website portal in particular.

So what's stopping you from taking your in-demand skills to practically any other commerce company in the industry? Nothing. Except that most of them will bore the pants off you. A company with a new idea, however, that's something else. Say, a gaming company that might just be the future of entertainment. Because of robots.

At Anki, our games feature actual AI-driven robots that you can hold in your hand and race across your coffee table. It's a combination of virtual and real-world gaming that folks like CNET and Apple's Tim Cook believe is the next big thing. And who are we to argue? We have plenty of sales channels for them, and we'd like you to focus on the most important one: Anki.com. You'll have the freedom to interpret data, and act on it to improve and increase online conversion.

If you're a self-starting, hands-on, pro-active team member-type, you fit the description. And if you like the idea of working somewhere future-forward where you can make a genuine difference, we fit yours.

Because we can build the best robots in the industry, but we sorta need to sell them, too. If you can get results, we'll give you that chance. Visit the Anki website and find us onFacebook andYouTube to learn more, and get in touch.

If Anki were stranded on a desert island, you'd be:Collecting weather and tidal patterns and pairing them with shipping lane data to find the optimal times for rescue.

If Anki were a carnival, you'd be: The person behind the scenes making sure the games provide just enough entertainment value to keep people paying $5 to throw tiny plastic rings at rubber ducks.

If Anki was "The Devil Wears Prada," you'd be: Whoever it is that keeps that magazine in business. 300 pages of glossy ads for $10? Talk about a fantasy.

Product Manager - Trust and Safety

Yelp's products are used by millions of people every day. At Yelp you'll have an opportunity to make a real impact on a product you actually use. The team you'll work with is small, scrappy, nimble, and fun. The culture at Yelp is a unique environment combining the best parts of being at a startup with the stability and resources of a successful public company. You'll have full ownership of the product you're working on and will be able make fast decisions in a highly collaborative, no-BS, no-bureaucracy environment.

As a Product Manager on Trust and Safety, you will ship products to keep Yelp the most trusted platform for local content. You will work with internet sleuths and fraud analysts to uncover credit-card fraudsters, fake review scammers, and botnets stealing account credentials, then rally a team of all-star engineers and machine learning experts to protect Yelp from the worst of the worst. One day you're deep in the data mines studying if a 10% increase in MCC of our click-fraud model is feasible, and the next you're in the driver's seat co-ordinating a response to a spam attack visible to millions of users. Yelp succeeds only with the trust of consumers -- trust is our core asset.

What You Will Do:

  • Dig through data to prioritize the most impactful risks to Yelpers' trust.
  • Discover emerging trends in site abuse alongside our fraud analysts.
  • Digest complicated problems into clearly framed measurable projects.
  • Work with engineers to plan/build/test/release/measure abuse detection features.
  • Weigh tradeoffs between complex models and simple heuristics.
  • Coordinate incident response for spikes in content spam or fraud transactions.
  • Evaluate build vs. buy decisions for third party vendors.
  • Obsess over metrics, risk monitoring, and benchmarking our performance.

We Are Looking For:

  • CS or engineering degree; ML or stats background preferred.
  • 3+ years in product management, engineering management, or similar experience leading engineers and shipping products.
  • Experience with data tools like SQL, R, or Pandas.
  • Investigator instinct, sifting through symptoms to find the root cause.
  • Communication skills to cut through complexity like a hot knife through butter.
  • Empathy with the average non-techie Yelper.
  • A passion to fight against spammers, scammers, and internet bad-guys.
  • A healthy level of paranoia: What will they try next? Will we know about it?
  • Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.

Our mission at Wealthfront is pretty simple: we believe that everyone deserves access to sophisticated financial advice. Over the past five years, Wealthfront has built a technology company focused on re-architecting the finance industry, and along the way we've created a new category known as automated investment services (aka 'robo-advisors', but FYI we're fairly light on robots). What that actually means is we build software that enables us to democratize access to services typically reserved for the ultra-wealthy, and through automation we can deliver those services to investors at an incredibly low cost. And it's working; we have loyal clients who trust us with nearly $7 billion in assets -- and we're just getting started!

We are looking for a leader to join our Product Management team.

Twilio is more than just an API - it's a communications platform that empowers builders and developers with the building blocks they need to innovate. The serverless platform and product line is needed to extend this vision. We want to empower all customers to quickly and easily build Twilio-powered applications.

    About the job:

Twilio wants to change the way that developers and builders at companies (big and small), think about building on Twilio. We want to offer customers a "serverless" way to create Twilio applications. We are looking for an experienced Principal Product Manager to own and drive this vision to reality. On this journey, you will enable a vast array of features on the serverless platform; from enabling customers to run pre-built code templates to executing the business logic of a workflow configurator to integrating directly into a customer's development tool chain so they can manage Twilio application code from their existing workflows to many more.

    • You have real passion for developer productivity.
    • Experience in shipping production-grade Cloud / DevOps tools is a plus.
    • CS or similar degree is a plus.
    • MBA from a top-tier school is a plus.

Twilio's mission is to fuel the future of communications. Developers and businesses use Twilio to make communications relevant and contextual by embedding messaging, voice and video capabilities directly into their software applications. Founded in 2008, Twilio has over 650 employees, with headquarters in San Francisco and other offices in Bogotá, Dublin, Hong Kong, London, Madrid, Mountain View, Munich, New York City, Singapore and Tallinn.

Twilio is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
