Your Daily Adventures Will Include

WORKING WITH CUSTOMERS

  • Discuss the problems customers are trying to solve with feature requests, and understand the underlying goals behind what they are asking for. The WHY.
  • Share mocks and prototypes of product features being built to determine if they are correctly solving the problem.
  • Run research studies to understand customer gaps and validate hypotheses around customer pain.
  • Review issues with the customer to understand how a component of our system may not be behaving as expected, and what the expected behavior would be.
  • Go on site periodically at actual customers' headquarters and pepper them with questions to all the things flying around in your brain.

Designing And Prioritizing

  • Track patterns of requests and determine what constitute enhancements of existing features, net new features, or redesign of existing product to meet a broader vision.

  • Discuss requests and goals from the customer with the Customer Success Managers, Solution Consultants, and Technical Support Engineers who interface with our customers regularly.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Product Management team leads on key inbound product initiatives
  • Experience working within Security, Cloud, Big Data and/or Analytics verticals
  • Document inbound product enhancement requests from the field
  • Follow-up with customers and prospects directly regarding product feedback
  • Identify key use cases required to close product gaps
  • Collaborate within the Product Management team on writing functional and technical specifications
  • Work with the Product Development team on further defining requirements as part of an iterative development process
  • Conduct technical assessments of competitive and partner solutions
