Passport, Inc.

Charlottle, NC

As a technical product manager for platforms and integrations at Passport, you will responsible for:

  • Managing the planning and integration of all third-party systems to Passport's platforms, along with the relationships with stakeholders, both internal and external, for those platforms.
  • Managing and planning all internal APIs that connect Passport's systems.
  • Managing and planning all external APIs, along with Passport's strategy for enabling developer partner access to Passport's systems.
  • Creating and maintaining all documentation for all of the above.
  • Consulting with internal and external stakeholders in order to support proper API implementation, including assessing the viability of various use cases.
  • Manage and audit for compliance the terms and conditions as applicable for various integrations.
  • Manage API operations and own key performance metrics.

You will collaborate with developers to build APIs that support multiple solutions (transit, parking, citations, and permits) that facilitate end user applications. You will also be responsible for integrations from our platforms to various third-party services that are required in delivering Passport's services. You will identify, design for, and solve technical problems that arise from scaling. Your APIs will consume large amounts of data that you'll analyze to improve the Parking and Transit experiences for our users and operators.

The ideal candidate has a track record of building high-performing systems that are scalable and extensible, preferably with several years of experience developing large-scale web services using relational and non-relational databases, key-value stores, and REST-style APIs.

About You

You are a visionary, but also a realist. You are an engineer that has built products with your own hands. You move seamlessly from discussing development tools and APIs, to analytics and ROI, to security and SLAs.

You are detail-oriented and organized. You are a natural problem solver. Nothing slips through the cracks when you're running a project. You measure everything. You are inquisitive, and you know how to listen and incorporate new knowledge into your product strategy. You thrive in a fast-paced and exciting environment where change is the norm instead of the exception. Above all else, you are also an excellent communicator, both written and verbal, and you understand how to effectively convey ideas to various stakeholders across the organization and in the market, including highly technical and non-technical partners alike.

You read the books, you've followed the blogs, and as someone committed to continual improvement, you're excited to improve the overall practice of technical product management at Passport in addition to your product line.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of Product Management experience in software development
  • Degree in technical or design field
  • Track record of shipping consumer-facing products
  • Expertise in writing detailed product requirements
  • Deep understanding of data analysis and reporting
  • Willingness to work on multiple projects in parallel
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%.
