  • Working closely with the Product Lead/GM of The Wirecutter to define, implement, and analyze the testing and site optimization strategy
  • Performing A/B and multivariate testing of The Wirecutter site to optimize the user experience
  • Creating, maintaining, and ruthlessly prioritizing the testing roadmap
  • Continuously driving process improvement of ideation, conceptualization, implementation, testing, and analyses of features
  • Producing and ensuring clear and succinct reporting of test results across all key stakeholders

Requirements and experience:

  • A customer first mindset, ownership mentality and constant drive to ship world class products
  • 3+ years of ecommerce merchandising or optimization product management experience
  • Excellent analytical skills and highly proficient in A/B testing with strong user/consumer empathy and awareness driven by qualitative research results
  • Strong analytical background with an excellent grasp of the challenges of desktop/mobile testing as well as strong data presentation skills
  • Deep working experience with desktop/mobile analytics tools such as VWO, Omniture, Mixpanel, Google Analytics, etc.

What We're Looking For

  • You have a proven track record of shipping user-facing products, with at least 2+ years of product management experience.
  • You're a curious, detail-oriented, hyper-organized self-starter who can manage a lot of information, projects, and responsibilities at once.
  • You have great UX and UI instincts, and can clearly express your product vision through both prose and wireframes. You obsess over the details (pixel misalignments make you cringe), while also focusing on what comes next. You have a technical background, and are comfortable making impactful decisions.

Ideally you also have expertise with a majority of the following tools and platforms:

  • Web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP/Ruby/Python and SQL
  • A design tool such as Photoshop, Illustrator, or Sketch
  • Analytics and/or business intelligence tools such as Looker or Google Analytics
  • Project management tools like Trello, Asana, Jira, Pivotal Tracker, or Github Issues
  • Google Spreadsheets and/or Excel
