As part of the product management team, and team member of our dynamic products team, you will have a direct impact on the success of our sales and development organizations. You will report to our Senior Product Manager for Self Service and Visualizations and will be responsible to deliver products for mobile devices that meet and exceed user expectations.

You will work with our customers, partners, sales, marketing UX team and R&D, to ensure to define business requirements, translate them into user stories, coordinate release activities and cross functional communication. In the longer term, you will define and own the roadmap of all our mobile products.

Responsibilities include:

  • Acting as our Product Champion for Mobile with our market leading QlikView and Qlik Sense products and future initiatives;
  • Acting as a translation layer between the customer's requirements and product design; listening to the customer's real needs and translating them business scenarios and problems into potential future product capabilities;
  • Ensuring that the product's features and benefits are appropriately represented in product materials;
  • Reviewing training and documentation materials, and ensuring they accurately reflect and position enhancements in the product; educating the organization on security and deployment related topics;
  • Supporting the adoption of Mobile products and solutions in the market place by assisting with sales and deployments to stay abreast of the customer's needs and requirements; and
  • Identifying priority of work items and working with the product design organization to build and track the team backlog within R&D Organization.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor equivalent mandatory, preferably in computer science or related fields;
  • In depth knowledge of the drivers for enterprise mobility, enterprise mobile management and enterprise mobile apps;
  • Demonstrable experience in mobile product development, preferable hybrid apps;
  • Experience in releasing apps on the App Store and Google Play Store; In depth knowledge of the Mobile industry, it's trends and technologies;
  • Knowledge of working with SaAS or Subscription based business models;
  • Experience in BI and Enterprise software as developer, consultant, or analyst creating and/or deploying enterprise-wide business intelligence dashboards, an asset;
  • Keen eye for good design, creative and open minded;
  • Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts - ability to quickly grasp the Qlik product lines;
  • Ability to work well with others in a high-pressure environment;
  • Excellent communication, listening, presentation and writing skills; and
  • Willing to travel approximately 25%.

About the Gig:

  • Continuously work with our customers to understand the problems they are trying to solve
  • Work with internal customers (sales, customer success, operations) and ensure their insights contribute to product decisions
  • Create meaningful signals from our metrics and use them to inform our design decisions
  • Be an expert in the education technology sector; be able to identify key trends to drive the company's product roadmap
  • Collaborate with our design team to come up with wireframes and UI
  • Work with the Dev team to write stories and plan and manage sprint work
  • Communicate new product releases to internal and external customers

About You:

  • 3+ years experience as a product manager for a B2C web application
  • Engineering/Computer Science background so you can effectively communicate with engineers about product details and technical options
  • Deep empathy towards customers
  • An analytical, meticulous, detail-obsessed mindset
  • Belief in data-driven design and ability to work with various analytics platforms to help inform and validate design decisions
  • Exceptional written and spoken communication skills, with an ability to persuade and galvanize others behind the product and your vision
  • Solid project management skills
  • Experience working in an agile dev environment
