You will work cross functionally with senior management, making appropriate product-related tradeoffs across brands, and measuring success of the team's initiatives.

Your team will be managing the end-to-end product management life-cycle for technically complex strategies, from ideation and requirements gathering to prioritization, implementation, and post-launch support. Working with developers and stakeholders across the organization, this role would also help craft the long-term vision for warehouse platform technology products and help scale important customer-facing programs driven by these products.

What you will do:

  • Develop and maintain technology platform road map and disseminate regular updates to key stakeholders

  • Lead and mentor a team of product associates
  • Work with your team to translate the vision of the operational departments into robust, intuitive systems.
  • Work closely with senior managers across the organization to ensure the vision aligns with broader company objectives
  • Utilize data to understand the scope, impact and priority of our business objectives, and enable the team to transform that knowledge into system enhancements and new features
  • Monitor performance of the team's initiatives and measure impact of product enhancements
  • Communicate performance metrics to key stakeholders throughout the organization
  • Guide resourcing on your team and supporting technology teams to ensure on-budget delivery of products and enhancements

Example initiatives you will lead:

  • Drive technology solutions to support the rapid growth and expansion of a proprietary 3PL (third-party logistics) platform from a warehouse management perspective
  • Develop new core competencies through technical innovation in Wayfair's internal supply chain
  • Unify a diverse set of functional tools into an extremely intuitive, efficient and comprehensive vendor portal
  • Work with warehouse management staff to build processes, workflows, and tools that increase efficiency and fuel a scale-proof future of the operation

Job Requirements:

  • 5+ years product management experience working with operational systems
  • 3+ years' experience successfully managing and developing highly effective teams
  • Bachelor's degree in either a technology or business discipline, MBA a plus
  • Deep understanding of business strategy and metrics
  • Excellent analytical skills with demonstrated experience turning data into actionable insights
  • Passionate about building functional and engaging user experiences
  • Strongly collaborative and effective in a cross-functional environment
  • Extensive experience working with data is required
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
  • Strong product management skill with ability to get things done
  • Technical background, or technical orientation; very comfortable with implementing new technology
  • Ability to think strategically and tactically within a dynamic, fast-paced organization

Product Manager

LevelUp

Boston
Consumer
Mid

LevelUp was recently named Boston Business Journal's #1 Best Place to Work because of our amazing employees, generous benefits, diverse work environment and overall focus on company growth and development. Come and join the team that helps drive this mission and help us achieve new heights.

Join the LevelUp Team and work alongside other talented, driven individuals to help build the next generation of mobile payments. LevelUp powers the mobile payment, ordering and loyalty apps for leading restaurant brands to help them engage their customers and drive sales.

Summary

The LevelUp team is looking for a highly technical Product Manager to work alongside our designers, developers, and account managers on creating and launching successful mobile apps on the LevelUp payment network. As a product manager for the Agency team, you'll be working directly with our white label clients to develop a vision for their app, define product requirements, and shepherd apps through to launch and beyond. At the same time, you'll be charged with gathering qualitative feedback and other data from all clients into a cohesive product strategy for LevelUp Agency.

About you

  • You have outstanding communication skills. You'll need to work with every team at LevelUp, from engineering to finance to support, and you'll spend a lot of time on the phone with clients having deep discussions about product ideas and opportunities. Your ability to make a case and back it up is matched only by your ability to be flawlessly diplomatic while doing so.
  • You're great at managing complexity. Mobile app launches have a lot of moving parts, especially for clients in the restaurant business. While most of the operations, finance, and marketing components are handled by the client's account manager, you'll be responsible for keeping any development work on track.
  • You're comfortable when things get technical. You don't need to have a CS degree or an engineering background, but it helps. You'll be asked to use Postman to test API calls, write SQL to answer your own data questions, and understand the rough complexity of product enhancements without engineering input.
  • You learn quickly. The LevelUp platform does a lot, and you'll need to pick up all the ins and outs of the product in your first few months on the job, and retain all of that knowledge to help you with future projects.
  • You appreciate great design. Your strong eye for detail complements your obsession for making sure everything is pixel-perfect. You have a strong vision for how things should look and work, and can clearly articulate that vision to your design counterparts. You're also willing and able to adjust that vision on the fly when present with new feedback or data.
  • You're a great copywriter. You expertly balance brevity and persuasiveness in writing calls to action and other copy for a product. You never use 7 words where 5 will do, and you spend those 5 words carefully, never settling for copy that is "good enough".
  • You have a get-it-done attitude. You recognize no bounds to the scope of your role and will do anything you can do to help get a product shipped. Past experience working in an agency environment is a plus, but not required.

Benefits & Perks

  • Free catered lunches daily from the businesses in the LevelUp ecosystem A never ending amount of coffee beans to make whatever satiates your palate (Americano, Latte, Espresso, Regular Cup O Joe)
  • Strong benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability and Life Insurance, fully paid for by LevelUp and 401(k) with company match
  • Convenient access to the MBTA via red, green & orange line (Downtown Crossing, Park Street, and South Station are only a few blocks away)

LevelUp is used by more than 4MM customers paying at over 100,000 locations nationwide. Backed by Google Ventures, T-Ventures and Highland Capital, LevelUp powers the mobile experiences for top brands like JPMorgan Chase, Potbelly, Tropical Smoothie Cafe, Equinox, Steak 'N Shake, Dunn Bros Coffee, Argo Tea & sweetgreen.

We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
