Through cross-departmental coordination and a hefty appetite for MVP and iteration, you will take Marketing Technology to another level to unlock new opportunities and efficiencies for the entire business. Customer Identity

We aim to make all experiences on Wayfair easy and intuitive for our customers. Our customers are moving to a multi-device world and we want to make that experience the best possible. To do that, we need a unique understanding of how our customers are using our site and connecting the dots between their devices to make experiences similar across the platforms. Our Customer Identity team works to understand the relationships here and power cross-device applications across the business.


  • Be the subject matter expert and owner of your product.
  • Prioritize many requests and ideas for features by understanding the business value and impact, weighed against the risk and development time
  • Maintain a product vision and roadmap, keeping stakeholders and constituents up to date on the top level goals and timelines

We are looking for a great product management leader to drive the product strategy, roadmap and delivery of areas within our Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) product and Customer Portal to improve our customers' experience and propel continued growth. The ideal person is customer-centric, has a passion for creating great products, and demonstrates creativity developing elegant solutions to problems. You must be equally comfortable justifying the ROI for product investments as you are constructing a roadmap or working with your engineering team to groom your backlog.


  • Construct and drive the roadmap for areas of our RMM product and Customer Portal.
  • Be the product owner - own epics, user stories, acceptance criteria and the product backlog.
  • Be a leader and active participant in sprint planning, stand-up, sprint review and retrospectives meetings; and seek to continuously improve processes.
  • Work cross-functionally with other product groups, user experience, service delivery, and engineering to ensure products meet the needs of customers and stakeholders.
  • Build a deep understanding of the market and customers by establishing strong working relationships with customers, sales and partner success.
  • Become an expert on competitive offerings and incorporate that knowledge into product roadmap and go-to-market strategies.
  • Conceptualize, run and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Must be comfortable with SaaS products, rapid release cycles and able to make decisions with limited data points.
  • Lead build, buy, partner decision processes for new products and tools, as well as product enhancements.
  • Communicate with customers and all areas of the company.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, and alongside sales at customer visits.
  • Work with marketing to ensure release communication, web site updates, PR, and lead generation activities have solid product positioning and information.
  • Serve as an internal and external evangelist for the product working with the sales team and partners.


  • 3+ years of software product management experience.
  • Thinks customer-first; from the outside-in
  • Makes data-driven decisions and confidently uses professional judgment when data is incomplete or unavailable.
  • Knowledgeable in SaaS
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum
  • Excellent communication skills

We're growing our team to launch new consumer-facing book discovery features, tools for authors and publishers, and other web and mobile products that address the digital transition of the publishing industry.

The Job

BookBub seeks a product leader to help drive some of our core products and initiatives such as featured deals, ad auction platform, bookmarking and author following tools for readers, international expansion, mobile apps, and other early-stage reader discovery and publisher marketing tools. Responsibilities include:

  • Assessing customer needs, competitive products, and internal assets to prioritize what to build for achieving top-level product and business goals
  • Working with software engineers, UX designers, and other members of the BookBub team to scope initiatives, draft wireframes, and launch or upgrade products
  • Coordinating with marketing, business development, and others in the organization to drive customer adoption of initiatives and products
  • Running tests and data analysis to assess success in achieving planned goals and ensuring quality

Attributes of an Ideal Candidate

  • An aptitude for turning high-level strategic long-term goals into specific actionable near-term initiatives that drive product innovation efficiently
  • A strong ability to assess customer needs and preferences through user surveys, A/B testing, market research, data analysis, and rapid experimentation
  • Superior project and general management skills in order to gain consensus from stakeholders, forecast timetables, and coordinate work across the organization
  • A deep understanding of how internet services are built and work, and an ability to collaborate with the engineering team to build great products
  • Strong instincts around user experience and a passion for understanding consumer behavior to create great experiences in conjunction with designers
  • The ability to work independently, self-manage, and both set and meet ambitious goals
  • Excellent data analysis skills and general acumen for making strategic business decisions
  • Previous product management experience, preferably at a consumer web company
  • MBA and/or Bachelor's degree in management and/or computer science a plus
