The Product Manager, Content Operations ensures that the Content Operations team is executing on projects that enforce and enhance Shutterstock's content review and catalog management experiences. This position interfaces with stakeholders across all business units to ensure that employee-facing tools are built for speed, scale, and the proper level of customization. They will work to leverage any technologies in Shutterstock's quiver to further enhance our review and content operations responsibilities.

The Product manager will report to the Senior product manager, Content Operations to ensure that all projects align with other content teams and aid in Shutterstock's operational and quality-based goals.

This position requires a highly-motivated individual who is comfortable with managing several stakeholders and products simultaneously. The successful candidate will be able to define priorities and manage expectations fluently, even when expected deliverables aren't immediately comparable.

Responsibilities

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to define clear priorities and roadmap across their team as well as aligning with others.
  • Guide their engineering team to successful deliverables that incrementally deliver value to internal users and the wider business
  • Enforce the adoption of unified best practices in following fit-for-purpose methodologies.
  • Act as ambassador of Denver-based engineering teams, including filtering pertinent information between HQ and a remote office. This position is the wider company representative and they should be putting our best foot forward!
  • Analyze opportunities, develop and implement strategies and business plans to expand and operationalize our human and machine-based content review.
  • Manage expectations, communicate timelines and negotiate impact of changes in focus.

Requirements

  • 3+ years Product Management or Business Management in Software/Technology setting
  • Bachelor's degree (advanced degree a plus)
  • Thorough understanding of modern software development practices, technologies, and concepts. Hands-on engineering experience or engineering leadership a plus.
  • 3+ years of operating Scrum and/or Kanban, preferably in multi-team (Scrum-of-Scrums) environments.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks efficiently

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in or with the content or video production industries.
  • Proven track record of clear communication with engineering teams.
  • Analytical approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to think both strategically and tactically in a fast paced environment
  • Knowledge of eCommerce and online marketing practices
  • Ability to work independently and be a team player
  • Effective communication and organization skills
