Discover your future at Pandora!Pandora is seeking an Associate Product Manager to define and lead the product roadmap associated with Pandora's music library, the curated collection of music that we make available to our listeners in our radio and on-demand product offerings, and the toolset used to manage that library.This role is responsible for defining the means by which music content and metadata received from our content partners is curated, managed and coalesced into the music library that allows Pandora to provide a world-class radio and on-demand experience to all listeners. Working closely with music curators and librarians you'll define the near-term and long-term product offerings that optimize Pandora's ability to deliver an exceptional music service now and in the future. You will collaborate with engineering, content operations, product management, analytics, music licensing and design to define the product offering where your insights into content workflow combined with long-term vision for our music library will play a key part in Pandora's success.You will combine expertise in product development, experience in developing workflow tools to manage data at scale with a deep passion for music and a desire to provide the best experience to our listeners in a competitive market place. You will account for the day-day needs of the music experts who manage our music library and develop a comprehensive roadmap for our internal toolset that facilitates our growth for the months and years to come. You'll combine a long-term product vision with short-term incremental improvements and be comfortable with complex integrations in a distributed systems environment.Pandora Media boasts the #1 spot in time spent on mobile vs. any media property, has over 240 million registered users, and over 1.4 billion hours of monthly listening time. Responsibilities:

  • Lead Pandora's music library roadmap, which includes internal curation, metadata management, music analysis and content programming tools
  • Facilitate decisions across cross-functional teams to define and deliver Pandora's Music Tools roadmap
  • Use analytics and user research to maintain and improve internal systems, toolsets and user experience
  • Work with curation and engineering to facilitate testing and maintain product quality as we migrate from legacy to next-generation toolsets
  • Deliver insightful product recommendations and serve as a subject matter expert to business and executive leaders about product trends, content management systems and music ingestion approaches
  • Collaborate with curators, engineering, content operations, licensing, project management, design and insights
  • Build alignment and effectively influence multiple stakeholders

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of consumer software product management, or related, experience. Significant product management experience in internal toolsets or content management systems, ideally music or entertainment products.
  • 2+ years of experience creating, validating and executing product roadmaps for user-friendly, robust toolsets empowering the delivery of large amounts of content
  • Experience with distributed systems and loosely-coupled integrations between legacy implementations.
  • Experience with metadata, taxonomy, data models
  • Creative with resources
