At Groupon, our Product Managers are effectively the CEOs of their area, working with designers, developers and senior management to invent new features and experiences. This role is both technical and business facing and the successful candidate should be analytical, creative and comfortable writing driving strategy, leading meetings, and writing technical specifications. We have a product leader opportunity:

  • Pricing - As a PM on Pricing, you'll be responsible for setting pricing strategy and driving execution across four key areas: initial pricing, promotional pricing, dynamic pricing, and price messaging. This is a high visibility role in which you'll interact regularly with senior management across the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Set strategy to help us build a world-class program around how we set prices and how our users perceive them
  • Collaborate regularly with leaders across the firm to ensure that product vision aligns with business needs and requirements
  • Partner with data science and engineering teams to create new algorithms and pricing programs
  • Work across the business, engineering, and product orgs to execute your roadmap at lightning speed
  • Develop metrics to monitor and quantify impact of all new programs that you launch

The ideal candidate has a mix of the following:

  • 5+ years of product management (preferred) or other relevant professional experience, ideally at an e-commerce company
  • A rigorous course of undergraduate study in computer science, engineering, business, economics, or mathematics
  • Experience on a pricing team or a track record in a market-driven field such as trading or algorithmic bidding
  • Strong analytical skills, and familiarity with statistics and how to use basic stat concepts to measure performance of an A/B test
  • Familiarity with SQL
  • Programming experience or familiarity (especially in R or Python)
