What’s the Job?

We are looking for a Director of Product to join the leadership team of a well-funded, high-growth SaaS company. Responsibilities include leading the product strategy & product management team to conceive of and determine product roadmap, partnering closely with engineering to deliver product releases, and arming sales & marketing with tools and messaging to articulate differentiation. The Director of Product is a member of the leadership team, and plays a key role determining the company’s business strategy.

The ideal candidate will have experience owning a SaaS product -- from product inception to launch -- and have demonstrated success managing a product management team in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for someone who is not only passionate about technology, but also is a marketer at heart. This position requires someone who is dynamic and able to articulate the product vision both internally and externally.

Responsibilities

  • Defines and implements the overall product strategy and roadmap
  • Governs the entire product lifecycle from requirements definition to product launch
  • Develops company strategy for current as well as new product offerings to ensure achievement of company revenue and profitability goals
  • Works collaboratively across the business and within the leadership team to formulate and execute business plans
  • Works with sales and marketing leadership to establish optimal pricing and positioning of our products and services
  • Identifies and recommends areas for industry and technology research to drive company growth
  • Recognizes the importance of strong product culture and ensures that the team understands the importance of speed to market and innovation
  • Drives competitive analysis to map all competitor product offerings, analyze & address gaps
  • Develops product positioning and messaging that differentiates us in the market

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or related field preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in B2B technology product management
  • Experience delivering software as a service technology
  • Ability to interface with internal and external clients in a professional manner
  • Accustomed to working autonomously
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced  entrepreneurial environment and to adapt to changing circumstances
  • Strategic thinking combined with tactical program execution
  • Attention to detail without becoming lost in the details
  • Excellent time management, presentation, human relations and organizational skills
  • Experience with Marketing Technology or CRM a significant plus
