We are looking for a Product Manager to join our team and help us create products designed especially for libraries.

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Expert at managing a product roadmap and backlog
  • Good at taking an idea and turning it into specifications and solutions
  • Comfortable both strategizing AND handling the details of feature refinement, mockups, etc.
  • Cares deeply about the customers we serve (libraries)
  • Able to talk with customers and translate their needs
  • Comfortable communicating ideas and presenting to groups of people
  • Has a "no task is too small" ownership mentality
  • A highly collaborative team player
  • Experienced at writing business cases, assessing market opportunities, and estimating ROI

This position is based in our Durham, NC office and reports to the Vice President, NoveList.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain the roadmap and feature backlog across the NoveList product line.
  • Define new epics and features, ensuring that prioritized features meet the criteria of "ready".
  • Assess industry trends, gather customer data, and provide competitive analysis to ensure that we're always working on the highest priority things.
  • Write idea documents and/or business cases to communicate proposed solutions.
  • Regularly meet with/talk to customers about their issues/problems and ways that those problems can be addressed.
  • Define, document, and communicate use cases and requirements for product initiatives
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, development teams, and others to create the best solutions for our customers.
  • Analyze and monitor key metrics to evaluate product success.
  • Coordinate efforts with other Product Managers and Product Owners.
  • Review, prioritize and manage service issues associated with product(s).

Required

  • Bachelors' degree, or equivalent experience
  • At least 3 years of product management experience in an industry like ours (SaaS, B2B)
  • At least 1 years of Agile product management experience

Preferred

  • MLS, MBA, or other relevant master's degree
  • Experience working with library industry and/or products
  • Experience with SAFe
