The Education Product Manager will be responsible for the in-app experience that drives all student, mentor and HQ-team member success. You'll be defining, planning, and executing on improvements to the entire student and mentor experience. You will collaborate across the career services, curricula, mentor and support teams to identify and build the products that are the backbone of Thinkful's education. This includes launching projects, monitoring students' experience, defining KPIs, and focusing strategy. You will identify gaps in the learning experience, build a roadmap, and generate new ideas that clarify and motivate students and mentors to succeed across every program.
Define clear KPIs to assess the efficacy of new products
Create compelling user stories that articulate the need for new features
Develop a productive and positive working relationship with designers, engineers, and the education team
Talk regularly with students, mentors, and stakeholders at Thinkful HQ to validate the product roadmap.
Collaborate with marketing and education teams on messaging and positioning.
Monitor feature performance and provide a clear understanding of success or failure
Effectively advocate the removal products and features that have little usage and do not deliver widespread value to the Thinkful community
You should be excited by owning a product stack that includes web apps, human processes, offline experiences, teams of people, contractors, and students.
You have past experience managing developers and designers on timelines you define and those dictated by the calendar.
You're comfortable taking risks and being wrong. You've shown others will still follow your lead after a failure.
You're convinced by data but know how to make decisions when not enough is available.
You're confident enough in your roadmap to say No to most ideas.
You can manage other product managers, delegating or owning specs and timelines to their strengths.
You find ways for the needs of other departments to fit into your product vision.
