As a Senior Product Manager in Search and Music Discovery, you have the opportunity to invent new ways for people to find and discover music they love. You'll work closely with scientists, designers, engineers, analysts and other managers to conceive of and deliver products that many millions of listeners come to rely on as part of their daily lives.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead music search and related discovery product areas from vision to launch and mass adoption, generating measurable value for listeners and Pandora
  • Establish and communicate a product vision and roadmap that inspires and focuses creativity and investment in your product area
  • Earn the trust of key partners across the company by understanding their perspectives and providing a compelling rationale for product decisions
  • Identify breakthrough innovations based on insights from quantitative and qualitative research, market analysis and experimentation
  • Formulate and articulate detailed requirements for product concepts that appeal to millions of users, each of whom have unique musical tastes
  • Partner and collaborate closely with scientists, designers, engineers, analysts and other managers to deliver on key roadmap priorities

Requirements:

  • 8+ years experience bringing products to market and leadership experience delivering results for complex businesses
  • A proven track record of launching successful machine learning products and thriving in ambiguous environments
  • Analytical skills, proven ability to use data and metrics to evaluate decisions, provide insights, and drive action; deep understanding of statistical methods and multivariate experimentation
  • A passion for music
  • An innovation mindset with the ability to assess the value of candidate product concepts
  • Demonstrated leadership skills including the ability to drive and influence key decisions across engineering, design, science, product and other stakeholders
  • Experience communicating with executive stakeholders and investors, anticipating questions and articulating decisions with supporting rationale; high-attention to detail
  • Knowledge of modern search systems and techniques
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • MBA and/or MS degree in HCI, Computer Science, Product Design, or related technical field preferred
