Founded by an experienced team of entrepreneurs from successful start-ups including Uber, Teladoc and Gilt, Pager is a health-tech start-up on a mission to transform healthcare. By offering patients better tools and more access to high quality care, we put patients first because that's the way it should be.
Pager is looking to hire a Product Manager to innovate and execute product initiatives. From ideation, to development, to launch, to optimization you'll be leading, inspiring and mentoring a team of designers and engineers, while working closely with stakeholders from other departments.
Work directly with the Head of Product to ensure the product ecosystem is being designed to scale
Help establish design and development processes for the entire organization to get behind
Play a pivotal role in shaping the overall design culture
Drive innovation and inspire your team to think outside the box, knowing that it's easier to tone down a wild idea, than it is to pump one up
Leverage data to make product decisions and quantify performance improvements
Manage teams remotely
Track and communicate progress along the way to various stakeholders
Form and adjust product hypotheses based on qualitative and quantitative feedback
Simultaneously manage different projects, deadlines and requests without breaking a sweat
Synthesize insights and can prioritize bugs, features and enhancements that really move the needle. Data is your friend and you use it to make informed product decisions.
The ideal candidate has the following qualities:
You're a true leader. Your communication skills are stellar which gives you the ability to align everyone on the team. Everyone knows what their goal is
You start with the problem, not the solution
You have experience managing technical teams and know to effectively communicate with engineers to ship the best products.
You've shipped products consumers love (huge plus if you have experience designing complex internal tools for scale)
You know when to push back and challenge a group of people and when to compromise.
You know that the user comes first, but you always find that sweet spot between the user, business requests and technical limitations
You're scrappy, but have remarkable attention to detail. You move fast and create a sense of urgency with your team to help produce (good) results. You know the ins and outs of startup life and understand that time is of the essence
You're ambitious and have a compelling vision which is visible to everyone when it comes time to define and execute the product roadmap
You apply a framework and/or processes that enables effective prioritization
You have examples and a proven track record of building consensus and making difficult decisions
Experience shipping a product thousands of people have tried and loved
Experience working with remote teams
Hands on understanding of data tools to measure product enhancements
Technical skillset to talk shop and work closely with engineers
Have launched multiple successful products and features, preferably on multiple platforms (iOS, Android, desktop, and web)
Analyzes and uses data to inform decisions (can support with tangible examples)
DTC focus with some b2bc experience to understand contract/partner realities
