The Product Manager will be responsible for leading product execution for critical business process applications that OpenGov's clients use. OpenGov's suite of products sit atop our Platform to deliver the company's Smart Government Cloud™. This hands on role provides a powerful career opportunity for a results-oriented product manager who wants to be in the center of the action. The role is primarily internally focused and execution oriented with emphasis on high-quality, solution oriented product development in a fast-paced, positive and mission driven organization.

Candidates should have a demonstrable track record of business critical product management (preferably SaaS based), customer and developer focused innovation, superb communications skills, and a technical background.


  • Gather requirements and write agile user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Develop product documentation and release details for internal and external stakeholders
  • Work closely with our product designers in concepting and designing the product
  • Collaborate with others to develop online materials for support and customer satisfaction
  • Prioritize stories and features, build consensus and coordinate product development with engineering
  • Facilitate communication throughout the development process between a variety of internal teams including: engineering, design, customer success, marketing, and sales.
  • Maximize efficiency in a constantly changing and growing environment where the process is fluid and creative and unique solutions are required
  • Solution, customer and developer focused market research


  • Intelligence, passion, flexibility and curiosity
  • At least a year of product management experience, preferably with enterprise SaaS
  • Ability to think strategically and synthesize diverse information from many sources
  • Superb verbal and written communication skills• Experience working in an agile/scrum development environment
  • 25% travel

Nice to have

  • Hands-on software development experience
  • Enterprise applications experience: CRM, ERP, EPM, HCM, etc.
  • Interest in improving the effectiveness of Government
