The job:

The People TV OTT Product Manager will work with developers, product owners, the video programming team, engineering and business stakeholders in the process of testing and delivering high-quality, timely products and new features for Time Inc.'s premium OTT product. This role will focus on the agile product enhancement lifecycle for People TV's channels on Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, iOS, Android, Chromecast, web and distribution partner channels. People TV was named one of the best apps of 2016 by both Roku and Apple and continues to see strong 2017 viewership and growth in the exciting, rapidly expanding OTT space.The ideal candidate will have end-to-end live and VOD video experience, including ingest, encoding, delivery and playback. He or she must have experience in the OTT space, writing requirements for CTV devices.

You will:

  • Work with various People TV stakeholders to execute new programming, advertising, analytics and app-specific initiatives
  • Write user stories, UAT new PeopleTV features, troubleshoot bugs and iterate the product on an ongoing basis
  • Work with the People TV programming team to maintain and enhance their content delivery, transcode and playback lifecycle across channels
  • Oversee live streaming delivery workflow, including coordinating the distribution of marquee live events such as the Oscars' Red Carpet, soon-to-launch weekly live shows and other tentpole events. Focus on improving QoE, reducing startup time, reducing buffer ratio, and overall perceived quality for users across all platforms and regions
  • Work with the video distribution business stakeholders to drive requirements for expanding both domestic and international syndication and scale
  • Work in an Agile environment, leveraging systems such as JIRA
