A Scrum Product Owner in this role at Code42 helps take our product roadmap and break it into meaningful product backlog themes, epics, and stories that can be scheduled and implemented by the Scrum team. In this role, you will collaborate with our sales, marketing, product management, support, professional services, design, and engineering teams (and of course our customers) to assist in defining our releases and sprint backlogs. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around the continual grooming of the release and sprint backlog for the Scrum team.


  • Developing detailed requirements, stories and acceptance criteria for the development teams from the Product Manager's high-level requirements
  • Playing an active role in sprint planning to ensure the requirements are tracked and delivered on time and within scope
  • Participating in the development of related strategies and plans as defined by the business
  • Participating in systems requirements definition, testing, training, implementation, and product rollout
  • Working closely with other teams (UI/UX, marketing, program management, product management, engineering, etc.) and external partners in support of business initiatives


  • Experience in requirements analysis and in engaging with development teams in the practices relevant to successful product delivery
  • Experience in participating on teams using Agile Methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban
  • Knowledge of relevant software communication protocols and security requirements
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills
  • Strong communicator
  • Ability to prioritize and evaluate competing stakeholder interests based on business requirements
  • Ability to work in fast paced and dynamic development environment

  • Eager to learn the ins and outs of new tools and processes
  • 5+ years' experience as Business Analyst / Technical Product Manager/ Product Owner or in related position
  • Experience working on SaaS application
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field (Marketing, Communications, Business, Computer Science, etc.).
