As a Director of Product Management - Transit at Passport, you will guide a team responsible for our transit payments and ticketing services. You will be responsible for delivering value to end users through our mobile apps and to clients through our management portal. You will build out the product strategies and roadmaps for your products, and then, inspire the broader cross-functional team to maintain and flawlessly execute that strategy. You'll partner closely with a variety of stakeholders across engineering, sales, and service delivery to ensure customer and client feedback, market intelligence, and institutional knowledge are analyzed and infused into the product roadmaps. You will be instrumental in helping Passport grow revenue through your efforts on your products.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading, inspiring, and mentoring a team of product managers (once the team is established) to build, deliver, and continuously improve upon their product roadmaps
  • Coaching and developing your team to successfully incorporate client and customer feedback, along with outside market data analysis to build strategic product roadmaps aligned with business forecasts
  • Navigating internal and external barriers to continue driving forward with the product roadmaps, serving as the primary escalation point for team members
  • Forecasting key business metrics aligned with the unique user behaviors in your product portfolio
  • Developing offers for your products to the market that are consistent with pricing strategies and strategic objectives of the company
  • Creating and validate business cases, complete with financial models for new product concepts
  • Prioritizing features for development and implementation based on sound financial analysis, while working in conjunction with product engineering on resource allocation
  • Owning all product scope templates and the evolution of these based on internal and external feedback for your product portfolio
  • Evangelizing your product portfolio across the organization and industry, including as needed to support Sales and Marketing efforts of the company
  • Communicating effectively with all areas of the business involved with your product portfolio, this includes senior leadership team and other teams such as engineering and sales
  • Highlighting key insights on product-market dynamics for your products and industry to the rest of the organization
  • Documenting key workflows, stories, handoffs, and roadmap details in our systems of record and ensuring that documentation stays relevant and up-to-date
  • Keeping stakeholders focused on the strategic objectives of each product, proactively identifying challenges, and figuring out how to measure our collective impact at achieving the company's goals
  • Establishing a culture of excellence, learning, and regular best practices sharing within the product team
  • Creating and providing regular reporting against key performance indicators (e.g. metrics for customer satisfaction, operating efficiency, and product quality) and leveraging data from case submissions to provide insights to the broader team about client and customer challenges; escalating key trends to development team for immediate resolution
  • Produce outstanding output and improve the routines and processes within Product Management at Passport to consistently deliver top performance

Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of professional experience, and significant experience managing products and leading teams
  • Excellent organizational and communication (written, verbal, and listening) skills
  • Strong technical background, experience in software development is a plus
  • Experience developing products for mobile
  • Interest in public transit systems and broader transportation industry
  • Familiarity with data architecture, database systems, and SQL is a plus
  • Superior resource, planning, and time management skills
  • Process, problem-solving, strategic, and continuous improvement mindset
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Bachelor's degree is required, MBA or other graduate degree is a plus
  • SaaS company experience is a plus
